If you’re a fan of The Duke, it doesn’t get much better than this!  Here’s your chance to get your hands on this one of a kind 1966 International Harvester TravelAll that once belonged to John Wayne.

Originally built for use on Wayne’s Red Eye Ranch, the TravelAll is said to have been influenced by the movie “Hatari”.  Although many believe the vehicle is from the actual movie, the vehicle was custom built three or four years later by Ray Gaskin, a custom “refuse truck” builder from Pasadena.

This little beauty features the largest engine built by IH, a 5-speed transmission with a hydraulic clutch, power steering, four wheel drive, air conditioning, AM radio, rear power window, duel side gas tanks, a 10,000 lb winch on a custom bumper, HD shocks and leaf springs, roll bars, a medicine cabinet, and we cant forget the custom built gun hatch!  Gaskin had added 6-inches to the roof so that Wayne could hunt comfortably from the hatch.

The current owner, Texas state Rep. Joe C. Pickett (D-El Paso), acquired the War Wagon back in 1988.  Over the objections of his son, Rep. Pickett has decided to put it on the market for the low price of $1 million dollars.
