So you really want a Jeep pickup but you can’t wait for 5 years for a new Comanche that might never happen? Well Mopar offer a conversion kit to turn your 2007-2012 4-door JK Wrangler into just that, a JK8 “Scrambler” if you will.
This complete kit features a spacious 44-by-50-inch steel bed, inner and outer bed sides constructed from stamped sheet metal, sport-bar extensions, Freedom Panel assemblies, a removable fiberglass hard top with a sliding rear window, two fixed side windows and a fiberglass bulkhead. Mopar claim that “skilled do-it-yourselfers” should be able to install the kit, but dealership service departments can do it as well — for an additional charge.
Most importantly, we have these kits ready to be ordered today!

I’m looking forward to another great Easter Jeep Safari in Moab. This is the 45th year for this event.

Honestly, I can run the Moab trails anytime throughout the year, but what makes the event so much fun is seeing friends from all over the country that I rarely get to see otherwise and checking out all of the cool vehicles. You can always bet that the vendors bring are going to bring out their best stuff, too. This year there is a lot of hype about the six new “Moparized” Jeep® vehicles that will be out strutting their stuff. You can check them out in one of our previous blog posts here.
The weather is usually “interesting”. There is often snow on the mountains while it may be sunny in town…or it may rain…or snow flurries may appear—all within a few hours.
Chrysler Communications confirmed to us that Jeep will be making their annual new product announcements at 12:15PM on Wednesday, April 20th. and BF Goodrich, Tread Lightly!, and the United 4WD Associations will be announcing their 2011 Outstanding Trails.
Will you be out there? If not, you can hear all about it on our blog. ~ Dave Logan
